Good morning, creators. ☀️ Day 22 is here, and today we are looking at four signals worth watching — a major label folding its sync teams into one front door, a 25-year movie franchise shrinking down into collectible capsules, creation and distribution shaking hands on one platform, and a synth anthem from our own catalog that the community is already shooting to. Let's get into it.
1. Warner Music Group Unifies Its Recorded Music and Publishing Sync Teams Under Ron Broitman

What happened: Announced Wednesday, October 21, Warner Music Group is bringing its recorded music and music publishing sync operations together into a single global organization, led by Ron Broitman, promoted to President, Global Sync. Based in Los Angeles, Broitman will report to WMG COO Tom Corson, with strategic oversight from Guy Moot, Chair & CEO of Warner Chappell Music. The combined group — with team members embedded across Warner Chappell, Atlantic Music Group, Warner Records Group and ADA — covers creative pitching and marketing, new business development, licensing clearance, administration and data analytics for all WMG sync rights worldwide, giving clients "a single point of entry" to the full catalog. Corson: "This change establishes one creative strategy, one commercial business conversation, one clearance and one admin path for all WMG sync rights globally." (Source: Music Business Worldwide)
Why it matters: Sync is a two-key lock — you need the recording AND the song cleared — and slow clearances kill placements. WMG is betting one front door wins more of them: Warner Chappell's sync revenue alone was $60 million in the quarter to June 30, up 7.1% year on year at constant currency, so this is a growth machine being tuned, not a cost cut being dressed up.
The ETS/Zillion angle: One door, both sides of the rights, clearances that move at the speed of the opportunity — that is the structure Zillion was built on from day one. We own our catalog, masters and publishing, every release is registered, and a creator who wants to license a track from our digital audio packs talks to one family, not two departments.
2. PMI Launches Fast & Furious NOS Capsule Collectibles Under Its Universal Licensing Deal

What happened: PMI has launched the Fast & Furious NOS Capsule Collectibles, available now exclusively at Walmart ($9.97, ages 8+), as the franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary. Each blind capsule — shaped like an NOS bottle — holds a mystery 2-inch character figure, a custom fixed-wheel mini vehicle, stickers, a mini poster and a tire-themed display base. There are 12 characters to collect, including Dom Toretto, Letty Ortiz, Luke Hobbs, Deckard Shaw, Roman Pearce and Han Lue, plus two chase figures: a Dom Toretto variant holding a walkie-talkie and the elusive Brian O'Conner. The line kicks off a multi-year licensing agreement between Universal and PMI spanning several of the studio's entertainment brands, with more launches coming in 2027 and beyond. PMI CEO Omer Dekel: "As one of Universal's official collectibles partners, we're excited to kick off our collaboration with a product that captures the energy of the franchise." Why it matters: The packaging IS the product here — an NOS bottle every fan recognizes before they even open it. That is licensed IP doing the selling at shelf level: 25 years of movies turned into a $9.97 impulse collectible with a chase-figure hunt built in.
The ETS/Zillion angle: Characters collectors can hold are the front door of our whole world — a figure on the shelf becomes a cover star, and the cover gets a soundtrack. 3. Moises and SoundCloud Partner to Put Creation, Collaboration and Distribution in One Flow

What happened: Announced Wednesday, October 21, Moises, the creative suite used by 80 million musicians, and SoundCloud have partnered on a direct integration: artists can import their SoundCloud tracks into Moises for stem separation, chord and lyric detection, mixing, mastering and real-time collaboration in Moises Studio — then publish finished tracks straight back to SoundCloud to reach fans and monetize. Subscribers get a two-month cross-trial of each platform's Pro tier. Both companies are explicit about the guardrails: SoundCloud does not use artists' music to train generative models without explicit consent, and Moises says its models are trained exclusively on licensed and authorized music. Moises founder and CEO Geraldo Ramos: "The goal continues to be the democratization of professional-grade tools for musicians." (Source: PR Newswire)
Why it matters: The distance between "idea" and "released, monetizing track" keeps shrinking — and the platforms are competing on who removes the most steps while keeping the artist in control. Consent and licensed training data are becoming the price of entry, not a bonus feature.
The ETS/Zillion angle: SoundCloud is the final step of our own release chain — every ETS track lands there with its ISRC and full credits, private until the metadata is verified, then public and monetizing. Tools that respect the artist's control over their work are the tools our community of independent creators can build on. Hear the catalog where it lives at toysandbeats.com.
4. House Spotlight: "Power of the Synth" — Epic Toy Sound

View this post on Instagram
What happened: Released July 14, 2026, "Power of the Synth" is the Epic Toy Sound single (UPC 882093070463, ISRC QT6F62607141) — a pure synthwave charge from the Zillion Records catalog, registered in TuneRegistry and already at work in the community: just yesterday it carried KIDULT's Doc Brown × Michael Myers behind-the-scenes diorama reel, a toy photographer's shoot scored by the very catalog he collaborates with. (Source: Epic Toy Sound / Zillion Records catalog records)
Why it matters: This is the ETS model in one track: a registered catalog song becomes the sound of a collaborator's art, the post credits the music, and every play points back to the release and the photographer at the same time. The catalog is not a vault — it is fuel the community burns daily.
The ETS/Zillion angle: Love that synth lane? "Power of the Synth" sits alongside the Dark Synthwave Music Bundle and the rest of our digital audio packs at toysandbeats.com — license-ready tracks with the paperwork done, built for creators who shoot, post and publish. One family, one catalog, everybody eats.
Thank you for starting your Thursday with us — four signals, one community, and a catalog that keeps growing because creators and collectors like you keep showing up. Go make something beautiful today. One love. ✌️
