Every day, the family drops. Toy photographers post their latest shots scored with Epic Toy Sound audio, and this is where we bank them all — the original posts, the captions, the tracks, and the craft behind the frames.
Today's edition leads with two banked drops rolling in from last night — @darc_reign's sewer-ledge Michelangelo portrait scored by "Not Alone," and @kidult_1983's Vampirella carousel — then @tenacioustoys sharing the amNewYork press on the NYCC booth this whole crew sold from, and Darc Reign again, posting as @darc_reign2, with a Sigma Toys God Slayer shot scored by his own "Dominoes."

He's not posing for a fight. He's sitting on a brick ledge above the sewer tunnel, legs dangling, one hand lifting his white headphones, grinning like the song just got to the good part. Michelangelo is the loud one, the party one — and Darc shoots him in a quiet moment instead, at ease on the ledge with the dark tunnel arch opening behind him, and lets the character just listen. The pairing is almost too perfect: a turtle alone on a ledge, wearing headphones, scored by a song called "Not Alone." And there is a family thread running through it — "Not Alone" is itself a collaborator release: Rodrigo Ramírez (@skull_boy17)'s photography is the track's cover art and he is its featured artist, so one family photographer's release is now scoring another family photographer's post. That is the loop working.
The craft here is restraint — every choice is small, and every small choice is load-bearing. The seated, off-duty pose changes the scale read instantly: the ledge becomes a perch a character actually hangs out on, not a display shelf, and the hand lifting the headphone cup gives a static figure a before-and-after. The mOjing Toys sewer diorama does the depth work — brick ledge in the foreground, figure in the middle, the big circular tunnel arch falling off dark behind him — while a single moody key light rakes in from the left, catching the headphone shell, the grin, and all that weathered sculpt texture. Flat light would make this same figure look like a product shot; this light makes it look like a place.

Some characters never get old — KIDULT said it plain, and the frames back him up. His Vampirella stands at a barred stone window dressed with berry garlands, fangs bared, lit like she's deciding whether you get to leave. The barred window does the storytelling: she isn't posed in front of a backdrop, she's inside the crypt, and the bars put the viewer on the outside looking in. One warm light rakes in from frame-left, catching the face, the fangs, and the red of the costume, while the right side drops into true black — and that red is the only saturated color in the shot, pulled forward against stone grey and shadow. Let the darkness do half the work: that is the whole gothic mood.
Get the comics: the Vampirella books from Marg's house — virgin variants, foil editions and COA books, every one a single copy — are heading to our eBay store (zillionmarketplace): the Vampirella/Lady Death #1 Royal Blue Foil (Ltd 100), the Vampirella #12 Alex Ross 1:50 variant, the Witchblade/Magdalena/Vampirella Convergence #1 DF Gold Foil (COA 0001/500), the Cho Metal Edition, the Moonlit Bat virgin (Ltd 250), and more. Live shows and first looks run on Whatnot — @zillionmarketplace, and the standing catalog lives at toysandbeats.com.

This one is personal for the whole crew: booth 1771 at NYCC (October 8–11) is where the Tenacious Collective set up — and where Epic Toy Sound / Toys and Beats / Zillion Marketplace sold from, as part of the Collective. Press coverage of that booth is coverage of every artist and brand that stood inside it, which is exactly why a write-up in amNewYork matters beyond one shop: it puts the independent toy scene — the photographers, the customizers, the small labels — in front of a city-paper audience. Benny built the booth that made room for all of it; the screenshots in this carousel are the receipt.

One frame, one threat: the God Slayer posed mid-intent, a figure shot that reads as the beat before the revenge, not the aftermath — Darc lets the caption carry the menace ("preparing for his next dose of revenge") while the photograph holds the tension. The craft is in that restraint: a single-photo post has nowhere to hide, so the pose, the angle, and the light all have to sell the character in one look. And the sound underneath is his own — "Dominoes" is Darc Reign's own Epic Toy Sound track, the artist scoring his own shot, which is the model working exactly as designed.
